Ilan Pappé désavoué par ... des anti-sionistes chrétiens

Porter Speakman Jr est un cinéaste américain, chrétien et violemment anti-sioniste. Dans son film - anti-israélien et pro-arabe bien entendu - With God on our Side il citait une phrase apocryphe que l''historien' israélien Ilan Pappé, coqueluche des anti-israéliens européens comme Dominique Vidal et le Monde Diplomatique, attribue à Ben Gourion.  M. Speakman a fait retirer la phrase du film.  On notera que, dans le communiqué, M. Speakman s'excuse du changement, mais pas de l'erreur.  Il ne reconnaît pas vraiment que Ben Gourion n'a jamais écrit la phrase en question (inventée de toutes pièces par Pappé?), mais qu'on n'a pas trouvé de trace.  C'est en tout cas un désaveu et mieux que rien.

It has come to the attention of the producers of "With God On Our Side" that this quote cannot be found in the original sources of Ben Gurion's diary and therefore cannot be verified as authentic. While references to this quote exist, we could not find it in its original form. In an effort to be transparent and accurate, the producers have decided to take the extra step of removing it from future printings of "With God On Our Side." We apologize for this change.
