L'AFP forcée de retirer un hoax anti-Israël grâce à un journaliste belge et à des blogueurs (MàJ)

Suite à l'intervention d'un journaliste belge, de plusieurs blogs et associations anglophones, l'AFP (Agence France Presse) a été forcée de retirer une fausse information accablant Israël, comme l'a reconnu l'Adjoint à la Rédaction en Chef Centrale auprès du journaliste belge: "Je pense que nous avons bien compris le message après vos nombreux mails. Nous avons annulé sur le web la vidéo incriminée à juste raison. C'est un processus laborieux et qui ne fonctionne pas parfaitement en raison des méandres et de la complexité du web. Il est possible que certains sites, comptes continuent de la voir ou de la diffuser."

AFP posted a clip headlined: "Gaza village floods after Israel opens dam gates".  The clip was picked up by MSN. AFP interviewed a local resident who claimed that "this is political, all the Jews want is to destroy us".  AFP 'corrected' the resident's words, so it would sound less antisemitic, and translated it as "all Israel wants is to destroy us".
